The Midwest Rhyme Collab is a collaboration of various Christian artists. KAMAL the album host and key player behind it all longed for unity amongst his peers in the Christian Rap genre. Further more Kamal says “we definitely need more powerful Christian rap music to be on the airwaves”. KAMAL started in the area in which he lives “The Midwest” and began laying a foundation for this project by building relationships. He began asking producers and artists of any sort to donate to movement and they did. Now three years later we can see the fruits of the labor we all worked hard to produce. One of the concepts behind the album is to attempt to tear down the walls that divide us, while letting everyone know that the Midwest has some real emcees. The ultimate goal is that people will draw closer to God as a result of the gospel message being released over hot beats.

The producers are from all over the country and the emcees are from the Midwest (with the exception of a special guest appearance by Playdough and Jacob Izrael). This fifteen track album tactfully blends the underground hip hop feel with the more commercial sound which is almost unheard of. This is an album this everyone can enjoy. It’s very fun, raw, and speaks life to your spirit. The MRC has production from producers like K-Drama of Cross Movement Records and Thought P of Apex Projects which makes this album really hit hard on the beats!!
